THE PLANETARY PALM ENGINE
An elaborate celestial wall art print built around a human hand transformed into a complete planetary mechanism.
At the centre, an engraved palm rises against a near-black astronomical field.
Across the fingers and hand, planets, orbital paths and symbolic celestial markings are arranged like the components of an antique astronomical instrument.
The palm itself becomes the centre of a larger mechanical system.
Circular planetary diagrams cross the hand, while fine orbital lines connect small celestial spheres across the fingers, palm and wrist.
Surrounding the hand:
· astrolabe-inspired rings
· planetary orbits
· moon phases
· star maps
· celestial spheres
· astronomical grids
· compass-like star forms
· orbital diagrams
· crescent moons
· planetary medallions
· geometric instruments
· constellations
Across the top, a sequence of lunar phases arcs above the fingertips.
The outer sections are filled with circular astronomical charts and planet studies, while an intricate armillary-style mechanism anchors the lower part of the composition.
The palette combines:
· near-black
· antique gold
· aged ivory
· deep burgundy
· muted celestial blue
· warm parchment tones
The result feels less like fortune telling and more like an imaginary astronomical machine — part astrolabe, part star chart and part esoteric manuscript.

CELESTIAL MACHINERY
For the person who looks at an old astrolabe and immediately wants to know how every ring connects.

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom and personalized orders
Please message us through Etsy before ordering if you would like a different color, size, or personalized detail. We will confirm whether the request is possible, the price, and the production time. Only select personalization when it is explicitly offered in the listing. All order details and payments stay on Etsy.
Sizing details
Check the size options and description of each listing before ordering. Room images show styling ideas and may not be to scale. Wall art listings state whether the print is framed or unframed. Pillow listings state the approximate dimensions and whether you receive a cover only or a pillow with an insert. Small production tolerances may occur. Contact us if you need help choosing a size for your wall, sofa, or armchair.
Care instructions
Wall art: handle prints with clean, dry hands and keep them away from moisture and prolonged direct sunlight. Dust frames gently with a soft, dry cloth. Pillows and covers: follow the care label and the instructions in the specific listing, as fabrics and inserts can require different care. Do not assume every cover is machine washable. Ask us before cleaning if you are unsure.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Physical items are packed by our production partner for their product type and shipping journey. Decorative gift wrapping and gift messages are only included when expressly offered in the listing or at checkout. Orders containing different products may arrive in separate packages. For a time-sensitive gift, check the estimated delivery date before ordering and message us with any questions.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please contact us through Etsy as soon as you notice an issue. Include your order number, a clear photo of the item, and photos of the packaging and shipping label. Keep the item and packaging while we review the problem with our production partner and arrange the appropriate solution. You do not need to place a second order to report a problem.
Physical products, digital files, and colors
Read the product type and included items in each listing. Physical prints, framed art, pillows, and pillow covers are shipped. A listing marked Digital Download contains files only; no physical product is shipped. Frames, inserts, and styling accessories are only included when expressly stated. Colors can vary slightly between screens, paper, and fabric because these materials reproduce artwork differently.
