THE MIDNIGHT SAMPLER — dark cottagecore wall art inspired by antique needlework samplers, illustrated to create the look of stitched linen while remaining a physical art print.
A full moon anchors the upper half of the composition, with its phases unfolding to either side beneath a field of stars. Below it, a luna moth floats between botanical details, while two barn owls perch symmetrically on classical urns.
At the centre, an overflowing arrangement of crimson roses, tulips, daisies and trailing foliage rises from an ornamental urn. Two candles burn at either side, while a pair of hares leap across the lower field beneath a death’s-head hawkmoth.
Crescent moons sit in all four corners, and a complete A–Z alphabet runs across the bottom in the tradition of old heritage samplers.
The palette combines midnight navy, antique gold, flax, oxblood, sage and warm bone tones. Fine illustrated stitch texture and a woven-look ground give the artwork the character of a textile piece without turning it into a craft product.

Our physical products are made to order with Gelato. Free standard shipping is included for the destinations available in each listing. Production and transit times vary by product and destination; check the estimated delivery window at checkout. Tracking is provided when available. Different items may ship separately. Please check your delivery address carefully and contact us within 6 hours if a correction is needed.
Cancellations and returns
We accept cancellation requests within 6 hours of purchase. For eligible physical items, contact us and send the item back within 14 days of delivery. Please message us first for return instructions and the correct return address; do not send returns to the address on the parcel without confirmation. Buyers pay return shipping and are responsible for any loss in value if an item is not returned in its original condition. We do not offer exchanges. Digital purchases follow the terms shown in their listings.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please contact us through Etsy as soon as you notice an issue. Include your order number, a clear photo of the item, and photos of the packaging and shipping label. Keep the item and packaging while we review the problem with our production partner and arrange the appropriate solution. You do not need to place a second order to report a problem.

A listing marked Digital Download contains files only; no physical product is shipped. Frames, inserts, and styling accessories are only included when expressly stated.
